Grandma's House is a one-of-a-kind nostalgia focused living experience. You can't get any closer to traveling back in time without a specially modified DeLorean.  Grandma’s Nostalgia House has been known for an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction, and great commitment to detail.

Be prepared to be 10 years old again. This has been determined with the help of returning family members and we tweaked things including ages until things felt just right.

Who We Are

Grandma‘s House (the BNB) was created out of the knowledge that many people are struggling today missing the love and care from childhood, or from never having the experience of a loving and safe home as children. 

 As the leading nostalgia focused vacation destination in the Midwest, we attribute our feel-good reputation to the lasting  relationships we’ve developed throughout the years. We don’t have clients, we have family members-and we have a very large family! 

Unique Extras

 There are in addition to the already fantastic complete experience of traveling back to your childhood, five separate and distinct meticulously crafted experiences have been created for the enjoyment of your inner child.  

Just to get to experience one of these things you would likely have to pay several hundred dollars and you likely wouldn’t be able to really enjoy it as adults are often expected to accompany their children to these places, not to enjoy them themselves. 

We have been quoted prices from guests on just these individual experiences alone, and they have paid anywhere between two and five thousand dollars just for one experience.

These experiences are why people start jumping up and down and screaming as soon as they get down to the basement.

Your parents would never ever have let you have this at your old house. But you can have it here. And each section does have dress-up items available because if you knew what the experiences were, you would come prepared… but since you can’t know because that would spoil the surprise, we are prepared for you on your behalf!

I’m sorry if you are thinking it’s Harry Potter. Gotta say it’s not Harry Potter. don’t want anyone getting hopes up for that and getting disappointed.

The Younger Generations

Grandma's biological relatives played a huge part in making Grandma's House the place that is it. Hearing her loved ones talk about and often crying about the stress they feel just attempting to attain the most basic level of security their parents were able to attain with relative ease broke Grandma's heart. 

Hearing how genuinely some wished to "live back at Grandma's where they felt safe weighed heavy on my heart, and I felt called to do something about it."

When she asked what she could do? "Just be yourself. Just you. You and this home that feels like safety. Our places just feel like looming doom and economic collapse." (relations name omitted out of respect)

The younger family members made it their mission to turn parts of the house into their childhood dreams. Toys they dreamed of having (all of them), places they dreamed they could live (back in time or ahead in time and in space)

Many guests request that they simply be allowed to sleep in the basement because it's not just one but  4 special places most would have to pay thousands of dollars just to experience for a few short hours.
